Would you please express your thoughts about this knife-like poem?

It made me feel uncomfortable, which shows that it's effective, I guess. The message is good (that the knife, or science/brute force should be the very last resort when changing people's minds), but I really can't stand the cold tone. I understand that the tone was appropriate for the message, but it wasn't enjoyable for me.
