Recruiter harment leads to me wanting to get out of Navy DEP?

I told my recruiter I wanted to change my job because I thought the one I had would not make me happy. He told me he would change my job 1 month ago and nothing has changed so far. Just yesterday he came to my house and actually yelled at me because I was not doing Nuclear Power. He tried to convince me for an hour before I just put my dad on the phone, who is a Lieutenant Commander and former recruiter. I guess my dad told him that he could not BS me or anything like that and told him that I will do what makes me happy. Apparently that pissed him off because when he got off the phone he was extremely snotty towards me. I lost all respect for him when he tried to make me feel like nothing. Anyways, I was just wondering if I am separated from DEP once I do not show up to ship out or is there a period of time I have to wait.Also, I plan on joining the Army after my Fall semester at college sometime in December or January so should I be separated by then if my ship date is Sept 29?
