Is this a good or bad idea for everything?

Well im having a sweet sixteen in 5 months and I would like to have it in a hotel. The day of the party is the day b4 my actual bday so i kinda want to have it from lik 6 pm - 1 am b/c i want to countdown my bady and still have time to cut the cake. Will most hotels let me have it run till 1 am??? please hurry
