Can I fit new parts to an old road bike?

You have to have a 10 speed cette to use your campagnolo 10 speed drivetrain. Since you already have the rest of the parts, all you need is a rear wheel with the right hub and cette. You will have to measure your rear dropout spacing, new wheels use 130 mm spacing, older ones will be 120 or 126, so a new wheel might not fit without re spacing the dropouts. Chain wear is not the issue, although it would be prudent to put on a new chain with a new cette, chains do wear out, so an old chain might not fit a new cette.
